Our history
Our journey began in Iran, where I studied textile engineering and learned about fashion design. However, after immigrating to Canada, I wanted to explore a different passion - baking.
Starting out as a home-based bakery, we focused on creating beautiful and delicious cakes for weddings and family parties. As we gained more experience, we decided to expand our skills and learn how to make pastries. This led us on a journey to find a great pastries chef from France, who taught us the art of making delicate and flaky pastries.
With our newfound skills, we were ready to take our bakery to the next level. We searched for the perfect location and stumbled upon the Tawa Center, which was a sleep shop office before. We spent nine months constructing our bakery from scratch, pouring all our love and passion into every detail.
Finally, after nine months of hard work, our bakery was born. We bake fresh every day, using only the finest ingredients to create delicious treats that are sure to please your taste buds. We also collaborate with local bakeries to bring you a wider variety of baked goods.

The reason we named our bakery Sweet Castle is...
Sweet Castle Bakery, where we aim to make your dessert dreams come true! Our bakery's name was inspired by a childhood memory that has stayed with us throughout the years.
As a little kid, we watched a movie that depicted a young child getting lost in a forest and stumbling upon a magical castle made of candy. From that moment on, we dreamed of living in that sweet castle and indulging in all the delicious treats it had to offer.
When we started our bakery in Edmonton, we knew that we wanted to incorporate that childhood dream into our business. We wanted to create a space where our customers could feel like royalty, just like in the candy castle of our imagination. Hence, we decided to name our bakery "Sweet Castle," to capture that whimsical and magical spirit.

They have already used our services
The coffee was okay, ordered it black to taste the coffee on it's own. Nothing too exciting about it, happily order it again. But their Honey Cake was sooo good. Would 100% order that again. Their sandwiches also looked very fresh and I might try one of those too next time.
Lovely staff and delicious pastries! We tried the almond croissant, pistachio apricot tart and lemon tart (& a sample of their berry smoothie). So good! The tarts had the perfect amount of sweetness and icing to cake ratio. I’m going to dream about that delicious almond croissant for a very long time.
I had the chicken cranberry sandwich and hazelnut croissant. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely go back and the owner is really nice! I told my mom about the bakery and she picked up a bunch of pastries that we are making our own little afternoon tea with. I would love to see this bakery sell their own afternoon tea packs. I would totally buy it!!
It's a nice little cafe. We had sandwiches and a cake, salmon sandwich was pretty good but the best part was the honey cake. The staff are super super friendly. We will be back for sure.
This was absolutely delightful. We took our kids for a sweet treat. Quality mini cakes with real ingredients. The staff gave amazing recommendations. Will definitely be stopping by next time we are in Millwoods area
Stopped in for a quick snack and drink. The pastries were excellent. I had a lemon tart and a almond croissant. Both were great. Can't wait until the grand opening.
So happy we finally have a great cafe in the neighborhood! We tried an iced mocha and 2 of their yummy desserts and will definitely be coming back. You can tell the treats are fresh and made from scratch, and the owners are very friendly and helpful!
A very special and friendly little bakery and cafe! Their crossaints are out of this world and because I work in the building it is torture smelling them every morning and have them beckon me over! The walnut cranberry chicken sandwich is delicious and the buns are so fresh and so much better than you'd buy in store.Â
Excellent food and delicious coffee drinks. Very quick service, very courteous and homestyle feel. Mocha lattes are a must to try as you can taste the high quality ingredients!
I had the chocolate peanut butter dessert and my wife had the blueberry poppyseed tart. Both were delicious. Staff was very friendly and chatted with us for a while. Definitely going back.
